Speaker of Sudan's Parliament Ibrahim Ahmed Omar met here on Tuesday with US Special Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan Donald Booth.
During the meeting, they discussed the topic of normalization of the relations between the two countries and resuming talks about it in addition to issues of common concern.
Following the meeting, the US Envoy said that the two sides discussed the Sudan peace process, restoring peace in the Republic of South Sudan and dialogue between the Sudanese parliament and the US Congress.
Booth stressed that the United States and Sudan are in need of more understanding and confidence-building to improve relations.
