President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Thursday Chairman of the US-based global food security company Blumberg Grain, Philip Blumberg, with Supply and Internal Trade Minister Khaled Hanafy attending, said Spokesman for the Presidency Alaa Youssef.
President Sisi hailed the projects being implemented by the company in Egypt and hoped it would finalize them as soon as possible, mainly the projects of modern wheat warehouses.
Such projects serve the agriculture sector in Egypt and fulfill the needs of Egyptian citizens along with providing job opportunities and control prices.
For his part, Blumberg chief reviewed the projects executed by the company in Egypt, particularly replacing old warehouses with new modern ones.
The project represents a successful and fruitful cooperation model between the company and the Egyptian government, he said.
The project saves USD 200 million for the Egyptian government, he added, voicing hope his company could expand its activities in Egypt, mainly in the Suez Canal zone.
