President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call from Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades on Friday.
During the call, the two leaders discussed means of boosting the bilateral ties at the political and economic levels, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
They also took up the implementation of the outcome of a recent tripartite summit between Egypt, Cyprus and Greece.
The latest developments in the region and ways of pushing the peace efforts in the Middle East as well as ways of supporting efforts to fight terrorism were tackled.
