President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting on Saturday with Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby to discuss preparations for the Arab summit planned to be held on March 28-29.
The meeting also took up latest developments in Libya, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Palestine, presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
During their meeting, President Sisi stressed the need for Arab solidarity to face current challenges and reach reconciliation among Arab states' rivals.
The summit's agenda includes the amendment of the pan-Arab body's charter, el Araby said.
