The Senate’s Jordanian-Turkish Brotherhood Committee on Monday, discussed with a Turkish parliamentary delegation, means to enhance cooperation between the two countries, mainly in the parliamentary field.
Head of committee Senator Munir Soubar highlighted the strong and historic ties between Jordan and Turkey, stressing the need for cooperation to fight terrorism and extremism and preserve the region’s security and stability.
Head of the Turkish delegation Ali Ercoskun voiced his country’s keenness to combat terrorism and extremism, pointing to Turkey’s failed coup attempt in July 15, 2017 that was confronted by the Turkish people.
He added, in the presence of the Turkish Ambassador to Jordan Murat Karagoz, that Jordanian-Turkish ties are progressively developing in the political, economic and trade fields.
