Prime Minister Sherif Ismail met on Thursday with Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs Kentaro Sonoura to discuss vistas of bilateral development, economic and investment relations.
Ismail thanked the Japanese government for granting Egypt a soft finance worth $ 451 million to contribute to building the Egyptian Grand Museum, said Spokesman for the Cabinet Hossam el Qaweesh.
The prime minister also paid tribute to applying the Japanese technology in the construction of the museum, added the spokesman.
Ismail said Egypt is keen on capitalizing on implementing the Japanese educational experiment, he said.
According to Qaweesh, the premier said the Egyptian economic reform program aims at achieving a growth rate of 6 percent in cooperation with international financing institutions, adding Egypt is interested in attracting more Japanese investments in the country.
For his part, Sonoura hailed the outcome of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el Sisi's visit to Japan, saying his current visit to Egypt is meant to enhance joint cooperation.
