Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas met in Washington with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
During the meeting, they discussed the steps that should be taken to boost the peace process, relations between the two countries and a number of political issues of mutual interest.
President Abbas briefed the US secretary of state on the overall developments in the Palestinian territories and the suffering of the Palestinian people as a result of the Israeli occupation.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump and his Palestinian counterpart held talks on ways to move the peace process forward and enhance bilateral relations, as well as the US economic and financial support to the national authority and the private sector.
