Jordan's King Abdullah II met with US House Armed Services Committee delegation, led by MP Joe Wilson. Discussions during the meeting dealt with Jordanian-US ties and ways to boost cooperation in various fields.
The meeting also tackled a number of issues, foremost of which is international efforts in the fight against terrorist organizations and extremist ideology and ways to deal with these threats to preserve the security and stability of the region, Jordan Petra news agency reported.
The committee's members highlighted Jordan's pivotal role in fighting terrorism and extremism, stressing their support to the Kingdom and to enhancing Jordan's ability to cope with various challenges.
