Interior Minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa today received Oman's Shura Chairman Khalid bin Hilal Al-Mawali and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting was also attended by Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla, MP Abbas Al-Madhi, Deputy Interior Minister, General Inspector, Chief of Public Security and Interior Undersecretary.
The Interior Minister said the visit comes as part of the distinguished brotherly ties between the two countries. He pointed out the democratic approach and political and legislative reforms witnessed by Bahrain thanks to the vision of HM King Hamad in Isa Al Khalifa.
He hailed the honourable efforts of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives and Oman’s Shura Council and the existing cooperation between them to reinforce national unity values and strengthen the interior front to counter regional developments and support projects and programmes for promoting security and stability.
He briefed the Omani delegation on the efforts of the Interior Ministry to constantly modernize security programmes for maintaining order and stability.
He highlighted the importance of reinforcing Gulf security to promote joint Arab action and safeguard national achievements.
The meeting also reviewed bilateral ties and topics of common interest.
