Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour, has met with visiting Philippines' Vice President, Jejomar Binay, at the Ministry in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, Ghobash reviewed new labour policies which have come into force in 2016. The policies were represented in three resolutions that dealt with the approved models of working contracts by the Ministry of Labour, cases of terminating employment, and granting new working permission in case of moving from one facility to another after the end of work relationship of the employee with a previous company.
He also stressed the positive impact these resolutions represented in enhancing balanced and productive work relations between the two parties based on compromise and transparency in the contract, in order to preserve the rights of both parties.
The Labour Minister also briefed Binay on other issues regarding the labour market in the country.
Binay confirmed his country's desire to enhance cooperation with the UAE as well as to exchange expertise in labour domains.
Mubarak Saeed Al Dhaheri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, and a number of officials attended the meeting.
