The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, met with the President of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly, Miroslav Lajčák.
The Minister congratulated him on the broad confidence which he had received from the international community and his election as President of the current session of the General Assembly, praising his efforts and ideas in the service of the international community and wishing him continuous success.
The Minister reiterated the Kingdom’s policy of strengthening all frameworks of communication with the United Nations, affirming the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the President of the 72nd session of the UNGA, thus contributing to the success of his mission in developing and strengthening ties between the various countries of the world and in maintaining international peace and security.
The President expressed his honor in meeting The Minister of Foreign Affairs and his appreciation for the noble efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Bahrain to promote collective action in facing the challenges of the international community, praising the vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain (2030) which aims to build a better life for all citizens and commending Bahrain’s efforts in the empowerment of women at various levels.
