The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met the UK Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Boris Johnson, on his official visit to the United Kingdom.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs praised Bahrain’s close ties with the United Kingdom, stressing the importance of continuing and enhancing cooperation and coordination, in light of the recent challenges facing the region and the world.
The challenges consist primarily of terrorism and the increasing threat of terrorist organizations as well as the priority to deter those who support, finance and harbour them.
Johnson affirmed the UK’s keenness to communicate and coordinate with Bahrain in order to enhance the security and stability of the region, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
