Assistant Foreign Minister for Neighboring Countries' Affairs Ambassador Ossama Magdoub received the United Nations (UN) Special Representative on Libya Bernardino Léon to discuss the latest developments in the violence-hit country.
The meeting took up efforts exerted by Léon to find a political solution and the stance of the Libyan parties regarding the fourth draft of the Libyan political dialogue, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Monday.
The get-together, which is part of the Egyptian efforts targeting supporting political dialogue between the Libyans, highlights Egypt's keenness on backing the unity and stability of this Arab country, the statement read.
Magdoub underscored that Egypt believes in a political solution to the Libyan crisis.
For his part, Léon said that he is hopeful with the outcome of the current dialogue held between Libyan parties.
