Minister of Environment Yassin AL Khayyat on Wednesday, received a French Senate delegation led by Christine Kamerman, currently visiting Jordan, as well as members of the French-Jordanian Friendship Committee.
The minister briefed the delegation on Jordan’s vision on the environment and challenges it is facing due to the Syrian refugee crisis that adversely affected the environmental, health, social and economic and infrastructure sectors.
Al Khayyat voiced pride in the existing cooperation between Jordan and France in projects financed by the French Development Agency.
Head of the delegation voiced understanding of Jordan’s needs with regard to the Syrian refugees. She also expressed her country’s support to Jordan in the fight against terrorism.
