Egypt and France held here on Tuesday talks on the situation in Africa.
Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs Ambassador Sabry Magdy held a session of talks with a delegation from the French Foreign Ministry, now visiting here.
Ambassador Sabry reviewed at the meeting the recent developments in Egypt highlighting the achievements accomplished by the government at the economic and social levels.
He further made reference to the success of Egypt Economic Development Conference that was held in Sharm el Sheikh last month.
He further touched on the situation in Sudan, South Sudan, the Horn of Africa and the African Great Lakes with emphasis on means of fighting terrorism.
The French chief delegate, who doubles as the head of the Africa Department in the French Foreign Ministry, lauded the role played by Egypt at the African level.
He further expressed satisfaction at the level of Egyptian-French cooperation in Africa.
