The meeting tackled the latest developments in Libya, Iraq, Yemen and Syria along with efforts to combat terrorism in the region and coordination between Egypt and Britain in this respect, said the foreign ministry spokesman.
During the meeting, Shoukry underlined the need of forming a Libyan national unity government, added the spokesman.
He also said that it is necessary that the UN Council will respond to the request of the legitimate Libyan government to lift arms embargo in order to be able to confront terrorism.
