Tasked by His Royal Highness the Premier, Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today Algerian Foreign Minister Abdul Qader Musahel who is on an official visit to Bahrain.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Deputy Premier conveyed the greetings of HRH the Prime Minister to Algerian President Abdulaziz Boutaflika and Prime Minister Abdulmajid Tebboune. He welcomed the Algerian Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation, wishing them a good stay in Bahrain.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed thanks and appreciation of HRH the Premier for Algeria’s support to Bahrain in all measures taken to maintain its security and stability amid conspiracies targeting the region. He lauded the pioneering Algerian security experience which turned Algeria into one of the most stable and secure Arab and African countries. He urged more coordination between the two brotherly countries within the framework of pan-Arab work to condemn all forms of terrorism which is threatening the Arab countries and the whole world.
The Deputy Prime Minister asserted Bahrain’s keenness to bolster fraternal relations with Algeria mainly in the trade and economic fields in order to achieve common goals for which the Bahraini-Algerian High Committee was set up.
The Algerian Foreign Minister emphasised his country’s constant keenness to cement bilateral relations and cooperation and discussed regional and international issues of common interest.
