His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met with UK Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, Alistair Burt MP at Gudaibiya Palace.
His Royal Highness noted that the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom is based on strong historical foundations spanning over 200 years.
His Royal Highness highlighted that this partnership has facilitated wide-ranging cooperation across a range of sectors as well as joint positions on various regional issues.
His Royal Highness welcomed Mr. Burt’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, highlighting that regular exchange visits reflect both countries’ shared commitment to increasing cooperation and reinforcing bilateral collaboration.
His Royal Highness went on to note the UK’s important role in maintaining regional stability, supporting international security and strengthening international cooperation to defeat terrorism and extremist ideologies.
His Royal Highness and Mr. Burt then reviewed a number of regional and international issues.
Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the meeting.
