Presidents of Colombia and Peru met here on Friday during the two countries' second binational cabinet meeting to promote cooperation and overall ties between the two countries.
President Juan Manuel Santos of Colombia and his Peruvian counterpart Ollanta Humala signed multiple agreements regarding education, sports and social inclusion.
They stressed cooperation along the border region where some of the most vulnerable and least developed communities in both nations are located.
The two countries signed a deal to create a Binational Fund to facilitate development programs in their border areas.
Their first binational cabinet meeting was held in Iquitos in Peru in 2014.
