King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain met here today with Yemeni Vice President, Prime Minister Khalid Mahfoudh Bahah, who is currently visiting Bahrain.
During the meeting, King Hamad welcomed Bahah and extended greetings to President Hadi, wishing Yemen to regain security and stability. He affirmed Bahrain’s keenness on supporting Yemen and expanding joint cooperation.
King Hamad reiterated Bahrain’s support to legitimacy, led by President Hadi, for Yemen to regain its security and stability and preserve its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
King Hamad said that the Operation Decisive Storm had achieved its desired goals, adding that Bahrain, and in cooperation with brotherly countries, would not hesitate to back the legitimate leadership at this important phase of Yemen’s history.
He said that the Operation "Restore Hope" would contribute to putting Yemen on the right track by resuming the political process on the basis of the UN Security Council Resolutions, the GCC Initiative and the outcome of the national dialogue.
King Hamad and Vice President Bahah discussed the latest developments unfolding in Yemen as well as the efforts to dispatch relief aid to all Yemeni Governorates in coordination and cooperation with regional and international humanitarian organizations.
