Egypt's assistant foreign minister for European affairs Hossam Zaki on Monday met with Czech deputy assistant foreign minister for non-European countries Ivan Jancarek.
The meeting aimed to discuss means of boosting political, economic, cultural and security cooperation.
The two sides also discussed regional crisis of common concern.
Zaki lauded relations with the Czech Republic, the country that took positive positions toward Egypt after the June 30 revolution, which appeared in continuing its arms exports to Egypt and positive attitude taken after the Russian plane crash.
Members of the Czech delegation said their country is looking forward to a visit scheduled to be paid by Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Prague next year.
The meeting also dealt with recent development in the Middle East and counter-terrorism efforts.
The meeting also tackled preparations for an upcoming visit by the Czech foreign minister to Egypt early 2016.
The Czech foreign minister will be leading a delegation of businessmen interested in investing in Egypt.
