Antiquities Minister Khaled al Anani discussed with Japanese foreign affairs minister means of boosting bilateral relations especially in Grand Egyptian Museum project.
This came on the sidelines of the minister’s visit to Japan to inaugurate “Builders of Pyramids Era” exhibition in Kyoto city.
The inauguration was also attended by Grand Egyptian Museum curator Tarek Tawfik and Egyptian Ambassador to Japan Ismail Khairat.
During his visit, the minister also met with deputies of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Africa and Middle East to discuss ways of fostering cooperation in antiquities.
The minister also visited Tokyo national museum to inspect the latest technologies in securing and lightening museums and also visited two Japanese companies specialized in securing museums.
