Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh, minister of energy, industry and mineral resources, met at his office in Jeddah today with Amina G. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations.
During the meeting, regional and international developments as well as a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed.
They also exchanged views on the Kingdom's continuing cooperation with the UN and supporting its efforts pertaining to sustainable development and the role of the private sector in that concern.
She extended invitation to the Kingdom to join the constitutional investors alliance for eliminating investment risks in the balanced infrastructure with the objectives of the sustainable development.
Also discussed was the assistance being extended by the Kingdom to friendly countries so that it could serve as financial road maps that turn to be part of those countries' strategies regarding the objectives of the sustainable development and climate change. The meeting was briefed on the efforts of the Kingdom in this field as well as the experience of other countries.
The meeting agreed on enhancing aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom and the UN to achieve the mutual objectives and interests.
