Prince Salman Award for Disability Research announced yesterday evening the winners of the award in its first session 1435 AH-2014 AD under the patronage of Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities and Chairman of Board of Trustees of Prince Salman Center for Disability Research.
Addressing the ceremony, the Prince said that the establishment of Prince Salman Center and Award for Disability Research comes within the framework of the great attention paid to the issues of disability and persons with special needs in the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Award's Secretary General Dr. Nasser Ali Al-Moosa announced the winners of the award in its three categories as follows:
1- Prince Salman Award for Disability Research, the Branch of Health and Medical Sciences was awarded to Professor Fawzan bin Sami Al-Kurie (Saudi citizen).
2- Prince Salman Award for Disability Research, the Branch of educational sciences was awarded to Professor Ann B. Turnbull and Professor H. Rutherford Turnbull (U.S. citizens).
3- Prince Salman Award for Disability Research, the Branch of rehabilitative and social sciences was awarded to Professor Hugh M. herr
