Technical studies preceding the launch of the rehabilitation of Constantine cinemas are ''ongoing,'' Minister of Culture, Nadia Labidi said in Constantine Tuesday.
On the sidelines of the shooting of film "Seven ramparts of the citadel,'' the minister said that six (6) cinemas in the City of Bridges are concerned with the rehabilitation work, stressing that the technical studies, already launched, will determine the required standards of cinemas.
In the same context, she added that the new cultural facilities built or rehabilitated in Constantine for the 2015 key Arab cultural event, “have screening rooms.''
During his visit to Constantine, Labidi visited Ahmed Bey Palace, seat of the national public museum of arts and popular expressions, where she visited the exhibition of carpets and handicrafts of the M’zab region.
The minister also visited the Mohamed-Laid-Al Khalifa Palace of Culture, where cultural weeks of the cities of Tipasa and Tamanrasset were opened as part of the cultural program of ''Constantine, the capital of Arab culture 2015” event.
