H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, toured on Thursday the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), being staged at Expo Centre Sharjah.
Themed ‘Read More,’ the 35th edition of the annual event, which was opened on November 2 and will run until Saturday, November 12, is hosting 1,681 publishing houses from 60 countries.
Sheikh Sultan stopped at a number of stands for Emirati, Gulf, Arab and foreign publishers where he viewed their latest publications and products and learned about their cultural initiatives to encourage reading.
HH also toured a number of cultural activities organised during the 9th day of the fair.
HH was accompanied by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation, along with a number of Sheikhs and senior local officials.
