Saudi Arabia is keen on supporting culture and intellectuals, as well as building cultural bridges with countries and peoples around the globe for the sake of peace, security and stability, a senior Saudi official said Tuesday. Prince Meqren bin Abdulaziz, Heir to the Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and King Abdullah's Special Envoy, was addressing a meeting of Culture Ministers of the Arab and Latin American countries, held under the theme "Arab and South American Culture - Partnership and Future." Prince Meqren said these meetings were important to boosting cultural relations among peoples, as well as cementing dialogue and understanding. He said he was looking forward that Arab and South American countries continue coordination in fields of culture, economy, education, science, technology, tourism and environment protection. Prince Meqren said Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz was keen on peace and security among peoples worldwide. Kuwait is represented by Dr. Bader Al-Duweesh, Assistant Secretary General for Culture and Arts at the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL).
