H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has stressed that the national spirit among Emiratis constitutes a strong push towards more development and prosperity.
While inaugurating the RAK Photo Museum, owned by Najeeb Abdullah Al Shamsi, Director of Studies and Research Department, General Secretariat of the GCC, on Wednesday evening, the RAK Ruler said, "The bravery being demonstrated by our sons and Emirati servicemen in Yemen stems from national, Islamic and Arab values is passed from one generation to another."
Sheikh Saud said the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan implanted the national spirit and noble values, being sustained by the current leadership to pursue the development process.
The event was attended by Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Kayed Al Qasimi, Special Adviser to the RAK Ruler, directors of local and federal departments in RAK, dignitaries, media persons and public.
Flanked by Sheikh Abdul Malik, the RAK Ruler toured the new museum, where he was briefed by Al Shamsi about the memento photos and documentary films.
Sheikh Saudi said that the museum sheds light on the RAK history in the light of political, economic and social transformations.
Al Shamsi said that the RAK photo museum documents the history of RAK through photographs and documentary films, demonstrating the RAK's political, economic and social transformation, and also highlights landmark historic events, including cultural, artistic, educational, health milestones and other events.
He noted that the museum will be open to the public, students, all institutions and tourists, on all weekdays.
Al Shamsi added that the inauguration of the photo museum, which is the first of its kind in the Emirate of RAK, is part of the UAE's celebrations for the 44th national day anniversary
