It shows crowds in Stonehaven welcoming her to the opening of the Aberdeenshire town's Tolbooth museum. The footage has emerged amid a wrangle over museum artefacts, between volunteers who now run it, and Aberdeenshire Council. The museum was threatened with closure last year, but the community took over the running and it is now reporting record visitor numbers. The management team said Aberdeenshire Council was refusing to hand back important local artefacts. These include the Lord Provost's robes and a visitor book signed by the Queen Mother. Some items have been brought back, but the council insisted others would need special and costly cases to protect the exhibits. The council said it aims to resolve the Tolbooth group's concerns, so they can together provide a lasting museum.
