The State of Qatar will Participate in the 2nd Conference of Edinburgh International Culture Summit, which will take place in Scotland’s capital city from 10 – 12 August 2014 with the participation of over 100 countries.
HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari will head the Qatari delegation to the conference.
Dr. Al-Kuwari is set to address the conference reviewing the Qatari cultural scene and the position of culture in Qatar National Vision 2030 and in the Development Strategy 2011-2016.
The Conference will focus on the importance of serious work for the dissemination of culture between peoples and societies in all countries of the world, and the establishment of the understanding of the implications of culture. It provides a unique forum for the discussion of the power, position and profile of the arts, culture and the creative industries.
