Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi laid a wreath at the Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery in Jakarta on Saturday before he left Indonesia at the end of his three-leg Asian tour that also took him to Singapore and China.
Kalibata is a military cemetery in the south of Jakarta.
More than 7,000 people, who are military casualties and veterans from Indonesian War of Independence, are buried there.
Those include many Japanese veterans of the Imperial Japanese Army who stayed in the Dutch colony after World War II of their own free will and fought for the Indonesian independence.
