Kuwait's embassy in Jordan participated in the Diplomatic Bazaar, opened on Saturday by Princess Basma bint Talal in Amman. The Bazaar marks its 50th anniversary this year.
The event is organized by the Mabarrat Um Al Hussein organization, established in 1958 as a learning and care institution for boys living in hardship. It was the first charitable society established for orphans in the Kingdom.
The Kuwait diplomatic mission has displayed cultural, textile and cotton products, handmade works, foodstuffs and classic sweets, that were sold to visitors.
The annual event brings together members of the diplomatic missions and foreign communities in the Kingdom.
Participation by the Kuwaiti embassy in the annual humanitarian gathering has always been distinguished, Mabarrat Um Al Hussein general supervisor Hanan Gammoh told KUNA.
She thanked members of about 50 diplomatic missions for their effective participation, noting that the one-day Bazaar sees average of 8,000-12,000 visitors.
All the revenues of the Bazar go to the Mabarrat Um Al Hussein.
