Kuwait's Consul General in Hong Kong and Macau Khaled Al-Mutairi chaired a meeting with presidents of the Islamic organizations in Hong Kong to promote ties with Muslim communities there.
Al-Mutairi told KUNA, on Monday, that the Kuwaiti consulate always strives to boost cooperation with the Muslim community in Hong Kong; a community that is estimated to embrace 250,000 Muslims.
Chiefs of Islamic organizations, meanwhile, expressed appreciation FOR Kuwait's financial and moral support that could be seen in many activities and projects. They also thanked the Gulf state for renovating two Islamic centers and establishing an Islamic studies center at a university in Hong Kong.
