Kuwait's leading cultural establishments and publishing houses are taking part in the Amman 15th International Book Fair "setting up a bridge" of intellectual interaction with the Jordanian readers, many of whom have shown particular interest in the Kuwaiti publications.
Meshaa'el Al-Abdullah, a researcher at Kuwait University's scientific research council, said in remarks to KUNA that the Kuwaiti research council is taking part in this major cultural event for "interacting with the Jordanian reader.
"The Kuwaiti University participation is in continuation of Kuwait's march of presenting its cultural message, for the Amman International Book Fair is a renowned cultural event and one of the important exhibitions held in the Middle East," she said.
The Kuwaiti pavilion at the fair ground showcases a large number of books and publications, issued by the KU council, such as "the sociology" magazine, the law magazine and the "Gulf and Arab Peninsula" magazine.
Samia Al-Failakawi, in charge of the pavilion of the Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), affirmed that the Kuwaiti section has drawn a large number of Jordanians, lured by diversity of the publications, translated books and scientific encyclopedias.
The KFAS books are presented at reasonable prices as an encouragement for the readers.
The fair, scheduled on September 3-13, groups authorities, institutions and publishing houses from 25 states including Kuwait.
