Tunisian Culture Minister Murad Al Saqli and Iran's cultural attaché to Tunisia Sadeq Ramezani Golafzani discussed various aspects of cultural relations, specially its role and contribution to the consolidation of all-out ties between Tehran and Tunis. In a meeting in Tunis on Tuesday, the two officials stressed the need to strengthen Tehran-Tunis cultural ties. The Tunisian minister thanked Iran for its cultural activities in Tunisia. Ramezani, for his part, appreciated Tunisian culture ministry's support for implementation of cultural and artistic programs in the country. He further noted that Iran's cultural institutes are ready to carry out joint activities with Tunisian artists. In mid-January, Ramezani Golafzani and director-general of the International Relations Department of the Tunisian Culture Ministry Faeqeh al-Awani voiced their countries' enthusiasms for enhancing cultural ties between Tehran and Tunis. In his meeting with al-Awani in Tunis, the Iranian official said that constructive coordination has been made with the Tunisian side to extend memorandum of understanding (MoU) on expansion of cultural cooperation between the two friendly nations as well as holding Iranian cultural week in Tunisia.
