Ice sculptures made out of giant ice blocks have been welcoming visitors in British capital London since Friday. Famous with its skyscrapers, London's Canary Wharf is hosting the "Ice Sculpting Festival" which presents unusual experience to its visitors of all ages. Coming from all over the world to London, ice masters compete to receive the "best ice sculpture" title. Two-person team of competitive sculptors from Africa, Belgium, France, Hungary, Ireland, Poland, Spain, Sweden, UK and US wield chainsaws and chisels for about 14 hours in two days time to create glistening works of art in "big block competition", carving their designs to the blocks of crystal clear ice under the "Fabulous Fashion" theme. As the shivering temperatures in London go as low as 4 degrees in the evening, artists inspire some of the visitors too. The ones who wish to experience ice-carving have a chance to take part in free masterclasses within the scope of the festival too.
