A delegation from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) discussed in the Japanese capital preparations to launch "the GCC days" event, due in April next year.
The delegation, headed by GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Cultural and Information Affairs, Khaled bin Salim Al-Ghassani, held meetings with senior officials of the Japanese Foreign Ministry 17 to 21 of this month, Embassy of Kuwait in Japan said a statement to KUNA.
The delegation discussed ways of cooperation between the two sides in order to ensure success of this event, the statement added.
For his part, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Japan Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi, who participated in the meetings, said the embassy is ready to continue coordination with concerned authorities and do whatever it takes in order to ensure success of the workshop.
The delegation included Head of Information and Public Relations Department at the GCC General Secretariat, Ahmad Al-Dubayan, Director of the Gulf Cooperation Council Information at Kuwait Ministry of Information, Mohammed Hassan Al-Badah, along with the Kuwaiti Ambassador Al-Otaibi and the latter's Bahraini counterpart in Tokyo, Khalil Ibrahim Hassan.
