Islamic and national powers in the Gaza Strip have strongly condemned the storming of Al Aqsa mosque by Jewish settlers early on Sunday, asserting that Palestinians would not stand hand-tied vis-a-vis such aggressions.
In statements on Sunday, Hamas Spokesman Samy Abu Zahri said the storming of Al Aqsa Mosque is a serious escalation that come in line with attempts to judaize the holy city of Al Quds.
He asserted that the Palestinian resistance factions would not stand hand-tied in the face of such recurrent aggression.
Scores of worshipers and staff of Al Aqsa mosque were injured early Sunday when the Israeli occupation forces fired stun and gas bombs at them.
More than 250 settlers pushed deep into Al Aqsa Mosque early Sunday on the occasion of what the Israelis called the anniversary of Solomon Temple destruction.
Meanwhile, Palestinian Legislative Council Member Ahmed Bahr termed as "serious escalation" the attacks on the holy mosque of Al Quds.
He sounded the alarm against more serious steps by the Israelis and Jewish groups in the coming phase.
