Minister of Antiquities Mamdouh al Damati inspected on Sunday a number of newly-unearthed archaeological sites including the tombs of Amunhotep Rebiu and Samut in preparation for opening them to locals and foreign tourists.
The tombs were unearthed weeks ago in cooperation with a joint Egyptian-American archaeological mission in the western bank of Nile River
The minister also inspected some projects that aim at pushing forward tourism movement, including the renovation works at Habu Temple which are being carried out in cooperation with the University of Chicago.
Damati also toured the center which hosts a training course for 20 archaeologists and renovators.
