Culture Minister Helmy Namnam met Sunday a delegation representing the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services (CEOSS) under Andrea Zaki.
The delegation congratulated Namnam for assuming his new post and expressed their happiness to cooperate with the Culture Ministry in providing cultural services to the Egyptian society with all its sects.
The meeting took up means of activating a memorandum of understanding, which was inked in February, between the ministry and the CEOSS.
The minister underlined the importance of the role played by the NGOs in propagating the culture of a modern, civil and democratic state.
He further underlined the need to spread the values of tolerance and respect as well as renewing the religious discourse.
