The Manama-based Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage participated in the training workshop at the UNESCO's office in Beirut aimed to train Syrian institutions to protect cultural heritage.
The workshop was organised in association with the International Centre for the Study of Preservation & Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO) .
The workshop was launched on November 25 on the theme: "First Aid for Cultural Property Heritage in Syria".
The participants came from all parts of Syria to train on emergency procedures which safeguard endangered archaeological sites during conflict and prepare for restoration as soon as the conflict comes to an end.
