Antiquities minister follows up survey under Qaitbay Citadel

Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damati has followed up a specialized survey being conducted by a host of experts underneath the main rock of the Citadel of Qaitbay to accurately check its condition.
During his visit on Saturday, the minister also inspected the renovation projects at the citadel, including the restoration of the body of the main rock.
Citadel of Qaitbay is one of the oldest Islamic monuments in Egypt and the Arab world.
