The Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Monday adding 2.28 points or 0.03% to 8,726.37 points from 8,724.09 Sunday. The volume of shares traded fell to 5,712,280 from 8,505,023 on Sunday and the value of shares down to QR248,552,808.05 from QR307,060,865.08 Sunday. Top gainers were Qatar Telecom which was up 0.67% to QR150.50, Qatar Insurance by 0.59% to QR85.50, Intl. Islamic Bank by 0.56% to QR53.90 and Doha Bank up by 1.43% to QR63.90. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 12.81 while the Insurance sector up 43.22 points. The Qatar industrial sector lost 33.52 points and the Services sector added 2.35 points.
