Pakistan has sought immediate supply of petrol from India to meet its growing deficit. Pakistan\'s Secretary for Petroleum and Natural Resources Muhammad Ejaz Chaudhry told the media here that he had discussed importing petrol from India during talks with his Indian counterpart GC Chaturvedi. Chaudhry, who is here for the Seventh Asia Gas Partnership Summit, also said Pakistan was keen on importing other fuels as well, but for the time being its needs for petrol came first. Pakistan, troubled by fuel shortage, is seeking petrol imports from India using tankers as early as next month but further talks are needed concerning petrol quality and specification before that. India has agreed to Pakistan\'s demand for petrol supply from its northern state of Punjab.
