Oil Minister Rostam Ghasemi said on Monday that the Islamic Republic of Iran has powerfully dealt with US economic sanctions in the past and reimposing such sanctions is not a new phenomenon. The oil minister made the remark on the sidelines of a ceremony to sign two different oil and gas contracts. The occurrence of new events is very unlikely as the country has already experienced various sets of sanctions and successfully dealt with them, he said. The Islamic Republic of Iran has made optimal use of unfair sanctions imposed on it by making significant progress in various fields, he said. The country is determined to proceed on the path towards success and development with success, he said.
