French launch probe into Petroplus bankruptcy

French prosecutors have opened an investigation into Petroplus, Europe\'s largest independent oil refiner, for fraudulent bankruptcy a judicial source said Thursday. Prosecutors in Nanterre, near Paris, opened the probe over suspicions that Petroplus-France, which runs a refinery in Normandy, northern France, is missing 100 million euros ($130 million) from its accounts, the source said.
