A fire out broke in an oil field in Amal on Tuesday injuring four workers. According to media sources in the National Oil Corporation (NOC) the fire, which extended to the old pumping station, resulted from gas emissions during the change of a valve in the counter area of the field. Sources also added that the fire was extinguished with the help of the field workers 45 minutes after it had begun as all precautionary measures had to be taken. The field produces around thirty five thousand barrels daily and is located in the South east of Ajkrh in the Libyan oasis area. The field recently has announced that they are working on counting the damages and restarting pumping as soon as possible.
