Tehran\'s Ambassador to Islamabad Mashallah Shakeri said that the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project would bring industrial revolution to Pakistan. Addressing a meeting at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Friday, he said after India quitted the gas pipeline project, Iran kept engaged with Pakistan on the project. He said Iran has already built a portion of the gas line to the border with Pakistan and the amount of gas to be supplied to Pakistan will be enough to facilitate the country to overcome the issues. The Iranian Ambassador said that the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline would create a peaceful atmosphere in the region and also promote people to people contact, social contract, tourism and economy of both nations. Talking about the two countries\' trade relations, the Ambassador said that Pakistani businessmen should avail Iranian the expertise as both Iran and Pakistan have great potential for enhancing economic cooperation amongst the business communities of both countries. He said that exchange of business delegations could pave the way for exploring areas of common interest. Iran would provide technical and all other kinds of assistance to Pakistan to overcome energy crisis, he added. He said that Ummah must be united to overcome the challenges of world powers. There were centuries-old civilization, historical and cultural relations between Iran and Pakistan, both countries should enhance further cooperation in trade, industry and other sectors. Shakari expressed hope that industrial exchange program would help promote trade relations between Iran and Pakistan.
