Crude oil held steady just above $95 per barrel Friday morning on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The dollar index rose 0.32 percent on the International Exchange to 82.64. West Texas Intermediate crude oil for September delivery in New York shed 13 cents to $95.49 per barrel Thursday. The natural gas price was 1.8 cent higher at $2.742 per million British thermal units. Home heating oil was off 3.47 cents at $3.10882 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline dropped 4.98 cents to reach $3.0334 a gallon. At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.716, up from $3.71 Thursday, AAA reported.
