China produced 20.53 million metric tons of refined oil products in October, marking the same amount as a year earlier, according to the country\'s top economic planner. Meanwhile, the apparent consumption of refined oil products rose 3.4 percent year-on-year to 21.24 million metric tons during the period, according to a report posted on the website of the National Development and Reform Commission. As a result, the country\'s stock of refined oil products in October dropped slightly from a month earlier, but the stock remained higher than that of the previous year, the report said. In the first 10 months of the year, the country produced 204.77 million metric tons of refined oil products, up 4.4 percent from the same period last year, it said. The apparent consumption of refined oil products rose 5.6 percent year-on-year to 201.84 million metric tons during the period, it added. The report also noted that the production of crude oil fell 6 percent year-on-year to 16.52 million metric tons in October, while crude oil imports increased 0.4 percent to 19.88 million metric tons. In the first 10 months, crude oil production stood at 168.35 million metric tons, up 0.8 percent from a year earlier, and crude oil imports rose 8.6 percent to 208.85 million metric tons, it said.
